Channel Surfing

I've been thinking for a while about the movies that I see on the guide and have to watch no matter how  long they've been on or how much I've missed.   You know the movies that it doesn't matter whether you see the full 2 hours or just 7 minutes, you love it.

Here's my list:
Second-hand Lions

Ghost
Serendipity
 City of Angels
Man From Snowy River

Holes

The Prince and Me
Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory

The Fugitive--the number 1 of all time;  seen it hundreds of times.

 The first Harry Potter
Goonies
The Incredibles
Love at First Bite--first date with Keith movie.

Annie and Parent Trap because they were Ian's faves.

Chances Are--duh, my favorite movie.
Sound of Music
Driving Miss Daisy

Poseidon Adventure--the old one, not the stupid remake.

This makes me think.  I set the DVR to tape Ice Castles the other day and found out there was a remake.  How can you redo anything with Robby Benson in it?  I'm sure there are more.  Keith would say Matrix, Silverado, Hunt for Red October and hopefully Love at First Bite.

U.S. News and World Report

Yep, it came out again, the hospital rankings. I've been looking at those for umpteen years now.
Boston Children's on Top.  Not only as a whole, but in the specialty of pediatric cardiology.  What a surprise.
Wish we had been there.
I could be preparing my son for his senior year instead of driving to his grave.
Another surprise--not--Packard was number 10.
The hospital that asked us to donate to their grieving parent fund. The ones who thought we would like to be invited to an annual "your kid died in our hospital" event.
I wonder why they aren't on top.

Uninspired

I'm generally unenthusiastic lately.
I've taken one-sentence notes on a dozen things to post about but, if I don't 'go there,' then I don't feel.  Not just about how lonely the house has been with Lucy and Mikey and Keith being gone to camps, but in general.

Blah--that about says it all.
